The Ice Cream Events crew broke into 3 teams, which was the flag-off unit, the team-building and the dinner setup team. The 2 coaches we hired for them left the Itelligence Headquarters at 10.15am after the flag-off briefing and group photo opt.

We arrived at the hotel venue and everything was on schedule. The participants had to submit their paper challenges given earlier on the bus. They were then guided to keep their bags at the designated area and then head for lunch before we started our first indoor team-building session.

The team-building kicked-off with a team flag and cheer to give all team members a spirit and confidence of belonging and we sailed through the whole session by completing 6 team building tasks altogether. The participants were then given a chance to check-in their rooms and prepare for their themed dinner “Masquerades Night” that was happening that night.

The Ice Cream Events crew completed the dinner setup turnover and prepared for their re-arrival to the ballroom to enjoy the night full of entertainment and excitement. This company was pretty creative we must admit, as all 10 groups that we previously from the team-building had to perform on stage for everyone! They came out with so many creative sketches, dances and plays that kept everyone in the ballroom in mood and not abstaining from a good time.

For the second day, we were thinking since they had a great time last night from all the partying and dancing, that nobody would show up on time for the outdoor team-building session. Again to our surprise, they proved us wrong! Everyone was there and ready to rock out to the beach for the outdoor team building session. We did 4 outdoor activities and the sun started to turn very red. We got everyone to head back to the hotel to freshen up and prepare for check-out followed by lunch.

Ice Cream Events put together a presentation and many rib tickling moments were captured as they were laughing, looking at funny photos and captions throughout the two days walkthrough. We wrapped it up with a prize giving and a final touching speech by the Managing Director, Mr Alexander Gebhard.

Event Company in Malaysia – Ice Cream Events, The Cool Crew.

The Ice Cream Events crew were at the clients Headquarters at 6.30am to wait for their arrival, brief and group them up on their respective buses before heading to Cameron Highlands. To our surprise, it was easier than we thought and the client’s alongside their family members were very supportive and easy to guide.

The 3 buses left the Magnum Corporation Headquarters at 7.45am and we reached our first destination which was the Bharat Tea Plantation at 11.15am due to some unseen emergency stops and heavy traffic along the way climbing up. The people enjoyed having some tea and cakes while some others were busy running around taking photos and exploring the tea plantation. We wrapped up from the tea plantation at 11.50am to head for lunch.

Lunch was served at Ferm Nyona Restaurant which was located at Tanah Rata, 15 minutes away from the hotel. We took the group for lunch before checking in the hotel as the client requested to try a different venue. It was a sit down 7 course freshly prepared lunch meal and everyone indulged in.

We then grouped them and boarded the bus to head for check-in at the hotel. Right after checking in, the Magnum Corporation group was given some free and easy time and we met back at the hotel lobby to head to the night market located at Brinchang. It was a good experience not only for the participants but also our marshals as most of us had not been to this night market before. It was a tasteful experience up on the hilly grounds as there were fresh strawberries, corn, honey, fruits and many other delicious types of food ready to be served. We all had our personal space to shop, eat and takeaway before meeting back at the bus. We then went back to the hotel to indulge in a well set steamboat buffet dinner.

The second day, we grouped everyone up after breakfast for a group photo in front of the tallest thermometer buildup in Malaysia and then headed out to Cameron Lavender Garden,Tringkap for a visit. At the farm there was also a lot of fresh strawberries and flowers, to our surprise they served lavender ice cream and our crew could not resist this creation! It was indeed delicious and a good experience for all of us.

We left the farm and we gave the guests a free and easy 1 hour period before we all regrouped at the hotel for check-out and lunch. The journey overall was pleasant and everyone had fun including the Ice Cream Events crew and we have only our clients to thank for this lovely short getaway.

Event Management in Malaysia – Ice Cream Events, The Cool Crew.

We were given 20 days to map this out for the entire “Elite Drivers” group and their family members to kick back and enjoy this retreat. Elite Drivers are people that work under the umbrella of GRAB Co and have performed outstandingly throughout the whole year with major drive counts. This trip was designed for them to relax, enjoy and have fun with their family members thus building relationships with other Elite Drivers alongside their families.

We flagged-off for this getaway from the GRAB Co headquarters in Petaling Jaya at 12.30pm. There were a handful of 70 people involved and we chartered 2 buses to accommodate all. The drive took one and a half hours to reach our retreat destination. Upon arrival everyone was in the mood, welcome drinks were served, the guest’s and their family members were checked in to their respective rooms.

There was a free and easy time schedule to let everyone settle in and relax before we had our BBQ dinner. This is when the Ice Cream Events crew alongside the client Mr. Dylan headed out for fishing by the river. If you were thinking that we caught a bucket full of fish for the BBQ dinner, you’ve guessed wrong! River fishing is very challenging and if you wonder why, there are actually a few reasons. One of them we encountered was that the bottom was very rocky and the fishing line, hook and bait got stuck easily and we had to cut the line to retrieve it back and start all over again. This kept on happening to us and we wasted a lot of hooks and weights. One thing is for sure, we did our level best and ended up with no fish in the end but smiling all the way back to our rooms thinking how to get it right the next time. There was a scrumptious dinner served that night with good vibes everywhere and the drivers we mingling, talking, laughing and some were even in the mood for karaoke session.

The event managed in Malaysia at Waterway Villa, Bentong was indeed a calm and relaxing venue chosen for the client. The second day before we went back, everyone was involved in animal visiting + feeding and also a trip around the huge farm that had fruits, vegetables & lots of Bentong ginger!

The Elite Drives and their families had a lot of fun, we all had lunch and a group photo before we went back to the GRAB Co headquarters by bus to end the 2 days 1 night relaxing trip.

We are really looking forward to the next one, and this time with more hooks and baits for our river fishing outing if there is.

Magnum4D[KL Team] in planning their family day outing.

Event Day Low-down:

This event didn’t require a hefty setup as the venue chosen for this outing-day was a water-theme-park located at Shah Alam. Most of the main attractions were already there but that did not stop the client from hiring more fun into the vicinity. The crew was there early in the morning before our guest showed up to ensure that the supplies arranged by us were up and running. We supplied a handle full of inflatables, water-zorb balls, mist fans, caricature artist, clowns to entertain the kids, an Emcee for the launch and morning warm up, signages around the whole event area and etc.

We kick started the event with the morning exercise warm up session that was led by our Ice Cream Events – CEO and he also led through the event by officiating the launch. There was ample of food, games, and everyone from Magnum4D went back home with a nice ang-pao (red packet with cash). J

 

 

We were awarded with the 2016 project to take the team this time to Cameron Highlands, will finish a write-up to share our experience once this is done in March.

Event Day Low-down:

The event space was tricky because the entire work-force had to wait for two vehicles to clear out with both the drivers nowhere to be found and that kept us behind by a three hours delay. The production started right after midnight strike and the entire team was hustling-bustling away to ensure all was in order. The entire process went gracefully and the crew manage to get “some” shut eye. We refreshed ourselves and were back in positions to ensure the event flows for the day.

The event kicked off with our live-band that was performing seamlessly with the whole launch gambit right after that. In between there were speeches made by the VIP’s that attended. There were loads of hampers, lucky-draws with iPad’s, Smart Phones and many other perky gifts. The attendees were so hyped up during the lucky draw that they almost brought the whole roof down, some won some did not.

As the day faded away the Event Management KL crew started the dismantling process concurrently with the people leaving the event space. The entire crew definitely kept a good memory for this one and we are looking forward to touching more people’s hearts with MyTeksi.

Event Day Low-down:

This amazing race route was recce’ed two times by our crew before rolling it out to the participants. It all started in the morning when our cool crew were setting up for the morning amazing race brief at Taman Tun Dr Ismail – Rasta. Everyone got settled in and had breakfast right before we moved into the amazing race briefing. The brief took about an hour plus as there were a lot of good questions thrown by the participants as this was their first time indulging in such an event.

Once everything was sorted at the briefing, participants had one last look at all their materials in hand before embarking on their journey through various race sectors and completing physical-mental challenge stations while they were at it.

We routed a stop at “Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Rhema” children’s home to donate all the treasures purchased by the participants/teams halfway throughout the race. The Kartel team did even more than just giving out their treasures, some spent time and played with the children and others gave more than they could to support this children’s home.

The race took almost 6 hours before all teams started reaching the finish station where a final team-building challenge awaited them. All team members got down and dirty to complete the final challenge and score serious points for their team.

They later went and refreshed themselves while our Ice Cream Events marshals were tabulating and putting the scores together. We had a warm and funny answer-presentation by Mr Shannon Gomez who created everything from scratch by inserting funny captions into pictures that were taken the whole day to document the race. The atmosphere was filled with a lot fun as these participants were music individuals and they really knew how to let loose and enjoy the night whilst being anxious to know who won the overall race.

Everyone went home with a medal and the main champion was awarded with a cash prize reward. The management was pleased with our service and they are looking forward for one more event in 2016.

Event Day Low-down:

Initially this dinner was supposedly to happen within their compound grounds outside the office headquarters. This is how it has been done all these years. When we met the clients for the event brief, we discussed matters and came to a conclusion to have it in a hall which was at KDU University College, Glenmarie and bring in more event supplies contrary to the previous years.

 

 

They were outgoing and willing to spend due to the budget in hand for the year thus we brought in an LED backdrop [20ft x 10ft], turned the whole hall around with CNY décor’s alongside other dinner supply necessities. This event was hosted once again by our CEO – Mr. Dindran and ensured there were many rib-tickling moments during show time. The client’s guest and staff were very outgoing during the emcee games session, many participated without the need for the emcee to run around and beg for attention.

 

 

There were the usual awards presentation, lucky draws and not to forget a beautiful heartwarming speech that was given by the CEO – Mr. Jeffrey Chew of Paramount Property. The event sailed through smoothly from setup to show time and we manage to wrap up the dismantle process within two hours after the show was finished. Kudos to the rip & dismantle team plus the Ice Cream Events cool crew who stayed by and ensure all was well.

 

 

We look forward to handling this event again for our dearest client, let’s hope they feel the same way.

Event Day Low-down:

The setup started at night around 9.00pm as we had to wait for the event space area to be cleared out. We started by laying the canopies and working on the stage + backdrop while our sound team was putting the beat up and to test. There was something that took place in this event that slowed and challenged the team in the planning process stage.

Allow us to share:-

The mishap was the portables toilets were laid wrongly due to miscommunication and it turned into a slight hassle for our work-force. The toilets were too heavy and the truck to lift it just deployed and took off with no sight. To fix this, we had to release the clean water (it was unused, we got away big time!) and drag the “rock like” toilets almost a 100m to regain proper positioning. This drained much of our crews energy but still resulting to managing and tackling the entire issue whilst being attentive.

Note to self: Always finalize the event area plan layout and get a sign-off to ensure the Event Executive or Event Manager in charge can follow and execute the event management as planned. Double, triple or quadruple check if there are any doubts before laying heavy or large objects around.

The next morning the whole show was up and running and the amount of people turned up was close to one thousand five hundred people. The carnival game stalls were a sellout, ample of food was served as the initial plan was to cater for 2,000 guests. During the event, we had hired a drone camera to fly and capture aerial footages and if you are curious, the footages were absolutely stunning!

There were a lot of prizes and lucky draws that were dished out that day and many went home smiling like “fruitcakes”. We would claim this event a success and a generous teaching in sharpening our craft in order for us to provide nothing but the best Event Management solutions.

The client & Acson’s committee was very supportive throughout the whole planning and during show-time. The dinner event took place in Philea Resort & Spa, Melaka, Malaysia.

The event setup started at approximately 9.30am, all equipment’s and necessitates started rolling in, by the time we knew it was time to have the final recap alongside with the client and talents before the show kicked off.

Throughout the dinner event there were performances by a live band, magician, dancers & a graceful Emcee to lead and sail the show. Overall the event management was a success and we were awarded to handle and coordinate the second dinner event for Acson in Kuantan, Pahang the very same year.
